21^st March: Preparing Lesson plan for technical drawings

Asked by the staff, I planned a technical drawing lesson to hep the students draw accurate drawings of floorplans and elevation. This skill will help them for there final project as well as help them for university.

Rough notes for lesson plan:

Task: Learn about technical drawings and setting up drawing boards

Precedents: Mies Van Der Rohe, Farnsworth house & Alberto Campo, Gaspa House

Setup:

• How to set up a drawing board
• Tape paper to the board
• Learn the scale 1:100
• Pick a precedent
• Draw floorplan to scale
• Draw elevation or section or both
• Look at line weights and experiment with fine liners

Equipment:

• Ruler
• Drawing board
• Pencil
• Fine liners
• Scale ruler
• Set square

Teaching:

• Technical drawings
• How to see scale ruler
• How to set up drawing board

With the last feedback from the staff member, I created a PowerPoint slide to go over the tasks at hand.
